Fabric preparation, design and stitching is done in-house by me, Jane Sakwa in my garage space in Pietermaritzburg, South Africa. Additional help is provided by local seamstresses on a need's basis.
The Kikoy fabric is sourced from Kenya, made by local artisans. Other fabrics are sourced from local shop suppliers in Pietermaritzburg. All our products are made in small batches. We upcycle our offcuts to make garments and accessories.
All our fabrics are natural, they are not only comfortable, but biodegradable. Crafting modern design garments using traditional African textiles enhances their cultural relevance as a way of life.
